- Professional stuntwoman Kim-du Trinh is doing a stunt fight class to train students in the basics of on-camera stunt work. Kim will be holding one every Sunday afternoon according to demand. The class is $25 and enquiries can be made through the Course Producer.
- The Montreal Studio is now offering Chi Kung for Actors with Catherine Lipscombe. Catherine has been teaching Yoga, Chi Kung, Contemporary Dance and creative workshops in Montreal since 1998. She studied Butoh dance in Japan with Min Tanaka and Khazuo Ohno and was an artist in residence in a dance company in Buenos Aires. As a dancer and choreographer, her Dance-Theatre company MANGE MES PIEDS has toured internationally since 2000 in Japan, Greece,Czech Republic, Portugal and Mexico. - Daniel Giverin just finished playing the envoy from the British home Office and delivering the "Call to Adventure" to Brendan Fraser and Maria Bello in "The Mummy Three". He also played "Glen Reid", the star-crossed Husband of Marina Hands (Cesar winner for best actress in "Lady Chatterley") in the France/Quebec co-production, "The Story of Jen".
- Sylvia Stewart played "Officer Carlucci" in the Movie of the Week "Voices" for the Lifetime Channel.
- Adrianne Richards is a lead in "Zachary Samuel: illusionist" directed by Benjamin Steiger Levine. It has been accepted into Festival des Films du Monde (23 août au 3 septembre 2007), Festival Off-Courts de Trouville (France) (31 août au 8 septembre 2007), and also Raindance Film Festival (England) (26 septembre au 7 octobre 2007).
- Craig Thomas recently played Black Panther co-founder Huey Newton in Todd Haynes new Bob Dylan bio-pic...“I'm Not There.” He was also in Black Theater Workshop’s production of “The Lady Smith,” which was recently nominated for The Best Show of the Year by the Sounds of Blackness Awards.
- Carlo Mestroni has a large principal in “Blind Trust,” a principal role in “The Debbie Smith Story: A Life Interrupted,” guest stars on “Prank Patrol,” as well as parts in “Durham County,” “Banshee,” “Still Life,” and “La Lacheté.”
- Emma Sara plays the lead in “God's Little Girl,” directed by Mitch Davis, and produced by Infliction films. (It will be featured in the Rendez-Vous film festival this Friday, February 23 at 9:45pm, at Cinematheque Quebecoise, 335 de Maisonneuve E, tickets 7-8$ at the door.)
- Carinne Leduc has a lead in a feature film called “3 Saisons.” She co-wrote it with the director, Jim Donovan.
- Carinne Leduc, Niko Nikolov, and Emma Sara are shooting a short film entitled “Vengance.” It will be an Actra independent production. They are the actors and producers and Carinne and Emma are the writers too. Our director will be Philippe Montpetit.
- Adrianne Richards has a supporting lead for Lifetime Network, in an MOW called “Circle of Friends,” showing in August.
- Monique Phillips plays “Daphne“ in a new MOW called ”Thrill of the Kill” by Incendo productions.
- Techena and Bianca Bellange have a development deal with Telefilm for a half-hour series. Their company name is “Bel Ange Moon Productions Inc.”.
- Christine Lan was in a short film “Thin Walls,” which premiered at the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival as part of the Reel Shorts Programme WHAT IT FEELS LIKE FOR A GRRL.
